Under Blood Rain In Marble Maze est publiée en parallèle de l'exposition Soul Controller à Snow Gallery qui se tenait en juillet 2025 dans la ville de New York.
L'exposition rassemblait les originaux présent dans ce livre, ces derniers ont tous été réalisés entre mars et avril 2025.
L'artiste veut partager dans cette série une atmosphère immémorial, mythologique, païenne, comme des fragment de contes cosmiques imaginaires, des rituels magiques, là où le marbre devient chair et la chair redevient marbre.
Cet ouvrage s'approche du rêve alchimique en résonance avec le feu, le sang, la roche, les astres, le labyrinthe du temps…
Le travail de Julien Langendorff (né en 1982 à Paris, où il vit et travaille) s'articule autour de dessins, de collages et d'installations mystérieuses. Ses visions hallucinées composent un univers onirique et mystique, dont les références renvoient aux fondements de la contre-culture des années 1960 et à l'imagerie gothique du XIXe siècle. Son travail a été exposé dans de nombreuses galeries à New York, à Tokyo et en Europe depuis 2005.
Under Blood Rain In Marble Maze was published in conjunction with the Soul Controller exhibition at Snow Gallery, held in July 2025 in New York City.
The exhibition brought together the originals in this book, all of which were produced between March and April 2025.
In this series, the artist wants to share an immemorial, mythological, pagan atmosphere, like fragments of imaginary cosmic tales, magical rituals, where marble becomes flesh and flesh becomes marble again.
This work approaches the dream of an alchemist in resonance with fire, blood, rock, the stars, the labyrinth of time...
The work of Julien Langendorff (born in 1982 in Paris, where he lives and works) revolves around drawings, collages and mysterious installations. His hallucinatory visions form a dreamlike, mystical universe, with references to the foundations of 1960s counterculture and 19th-century Gothic imagery. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries in New York, Tokyo and Europe since 2005.
