Cyanobactérie est un multiple édité dans le cadre de l'exposition de Nicolas Floc'h, Kuroshio, le courant noir.
Cyanobactérie a été conçue à partir de l’installation Glaz, réalisée au Frac Bretagne dans le cadre de l’exposition éponyme (15 septembre – 26 novembre). Installation immersive, elle comprend un photobioréacteur et une peinture productive, constituée d’un mélange de pigment bleu extrait du plancton – la « phycocyanine » – et d’eau, pulvérisé à même les murs. Le multiple, édité à 7 exemplaires, a été réalisé à partir du recyclage du plancton qui se dépendait au sol lors de la réalisation de l’installation au Frac Bretagne. Cette œuvre élève ainsi le plancton, organisme préexistant à l’humanité et nécessaire à sa survie, au rang de matériau artistique, instable et organique.

Cyanobactérie was created from the Glaz installation art, made at Frac Bretagne for the Glaz exhibition. It is an immersive installation composed of a photobioreactor and a productive painting consisting of a mixture of blue pigment extracted from plankton (phycocyanin) and water, all sprayed on the walls.
This multiple edited in seven copies was made from the recycling of plankton which was released on the ground when the installation was carried out at Fnac Bretagne. This work of art elevates plankton –an organism pre-existing to humanity and necessary to humanity's survival– to the rank of artistic, unstable and organic material.
